Sharon was born on January 7th, 1974 in Fort Belvoir, VA. Almost certainly, Sharon inherited her love of horses from her mother, Carol, who has always had a passion for horses. Sharon knew from an early age that horses would be her life, and she’s pursued her dream with inspiration and dedication. Sharon has always believed in the value of education, and she earned an Honors degree in English from George Mason University (1995) along the way toward becoming a professional horseman.

Now, an established advanced level event rider, Sharon is known for her absolute dedication to her horses, her students, and Last Frontier Farm. Sharon gives credit to her success as a rider and a horseman to the years of quality training she has received from the best international riders and trainers in the world. Sharon appreciates the coaching of the inimitable Jimmy Wofford, who both teaches Sharon and helps in managing her career. Jimmy comes to Last Frontier Farm every other week or so to teach and to offer his amazing horsemanship skills. Gerd Reuter also comes regularly to Last Frontier Farm and provides invaluable help with dressage. Sharon is grateful to have the opportunity to school show jumping with Katie Monahan Prudent. All of these horseman are instrumental in giving Sharon a competitive edge and vital in their guidance and support. As well, Sharon tributes Bruce and Buck Davidson, for whom she worked at their Chesterland Farm, Torrance Watkins, for whom she worked while obtaining her degree, Mary Flood and Jules Nyssen in giving her the foundation by which to succeed.
