Kerrits Ambassador Hillary Whitt Hillary Whitt

Owns Horse(s): Yes

Primary discipline of riding: Hunter/Jumper and dressage

How often does she ride: 5-7 days a week

Why she is a Kerrits Ambassador: I'm 21 and I have been riding since I was 11 years old. I knew I loved horses the moment I saw them and have ever since felt a deep connection with them. Not only do a horse show (however, on a limited budget) but I am the photographer for our local horse show association. I think this is a Great way to get to know everyone and to cheer everyone on. It's great to be able to see people progress throughout the entire show season! Even while doing this, I am able to maintain a 3.8 - 3.95 GPA in college!

Her Goals: Susie Straus (Wellspring Farm) is my trainer and is helping me reach my goals. Right now I show my six year old Swedish Warmblood in the lower level hunter classes. I hope to move into higher hunter classes and then into the jumper ring. My main goal is to become a great all around horsewoman. I work hard in dressage and sometimes show in it with good scores. I think it's so important to have an "all around" horse that can do all sorts of disciplines. Even though I primarily concentrate on showing in the hunter/jumping ring, I adore dressage and the time and commitment it takes.
Her Kerrits Story: They keep me cool in the Very hot summers in Tucson!
