Emily Daugherty
Owns Horse(s): No
Primary discipline of riding: Eventing
How often does she ride: 2-3 times a day
Why she is a Kerrits Ambassador:
I like the cloths that Kerrits make and I believe in their product. My next summer will be filled with lot events and shows for a lot of people will here and see the product. With my outgoing and friendly personality, I think that I would be a good addition to the Northwest team.
I have a great deal of experience with horses, and have completed through the A level in Pony Club, showing a very professional manner, and disposition, on and off of the horse.
Her Goals:
My current personal goal is to stay active with the pony club even though I am done with all the ratings. I would love to be able to teach lessons and give back to the clubs in some way that is comparable to how I was helped through my childhood.
Professionally, I would love to start some horse/pony club program at the middle school that I will be teaching math at this fall. I have already heard of some students in the classes that I have, where they love, and participate in a lot of horse activities.
My Equestrian goals are to continue riding a great deal of different horses this fall, winter, and spring. I do not believe that I will need to buy my own horse at this point yet, because I have not had any problems finding horses available to me. Next eventing season, I would like to move up the eventing world latter. Since I have done so much pony club, I have not had a lot of time to compete in events. This fall I just did my first training level event however did quite well in the open division. I am hoping to move up fast through training level to prelim early in the spring.
