Why she is a Kerrits Ambassador: I am 19 years old and I have been riding now for 12 plus years. I attend college at the University of Arizona where I am going to be a sophomore, but call my home southern California. My love for horses started at a young age and has continued on now into college. I have been very fortunate to have been able to bring my best friend, my horse to college with me. While in Arizona I compete in the Jumpers and Equitation with my trainer Debbi Long. I am very fortunate to be able to ride and show while going to school and maintain a 3.0 GPA. I feel that I would be a very valuable asset to the Kerrits ambassador team because I ride in Arizona as a student and feel that I could really represent the young amateur/junior riders quite well. Being young in the sport and being very tight knit with the community of equestrians around me in Arizona and California I think I would make a great team member. I am an avid shower in Arizona and catch ride in the Amateur Hunter/Eq. As well as catch riding I think my horse has one of the most amazing stories in the sport of equestrian. Being injured for 2 and a half years he developed a severe case of Lamanitis, the vets told me and my parents that he was most likely not going to make it and if he did he would only be able to walk. One year later my miracle horse as I call him was competing in the Tucson equitation derbies and mini prixs. I have been through so much with my horse and think that anything we could be involved in with this sport could help benefit us so much.
Her Goals: My goals for this year are to attend the AHJA Jr./Am. medal finals in Scottsdale. I also feel each year that I grow as a rider in my lessons alone and look back at all the goals I have reached and how I got there.
I'm am a young amateur rider and I feel I represent the Jr and amateur crowd of riders. I am very social in the riding aspect attending shows and even just lessoning.I feel I could promote this brand among all different kinds of riding because of my passion for riding.
